Yes you can IF the recipient of your gift is already a member on the character.bio network. During the checkout process, enter the email address they use with us and the upgrade will be applied to their account instead of yours.
Generally a week. It takes 2-3 bank days for us to process your request and inform our credit card provider: Stripe, that the transaction needs to be refunded. Depending on your bank and credit card issuer, it can then take up to 4 bank days for the refund to show up in your credit card statement.
Yes. If you wish to save your biographies before deleting your account, you can select to Export them before you select to delete your account.
To improve performance and speed, all biographies are cached, meaning a snapshot of your previous version is what is shown to visitors. This cache is updated on a regular basis, and it can at times take up to 1 hour for the cache to be cleared, and your updates becoming visible to everyone.
Note that this only affects visitors (those not logged in). As long as you stay logged in on the character.bio network, you will always see the latest version of biographies.
Yes you can. When editing your biography, in the right hand menu you can set “Visibility” to “Password Protected”.
